Spring Forward in Safety

With Spring officially here, Ellis Square open and in full swing, everyone is getting relaxed and enjoying the weather.  But for Security, this is no time to be relaxed.  Because of the increased crowds at parks and large events, criminals are scoping and planning their next attack.  Awareness plays a huge role in prevention and monitoring. Certainly, having fun means in a safe environment, but being alert and paying attention to what is going on around you truly is effective and can deter a lot of potential theft and even more brazen acts.  Crime prevention is much better than calling in law enforcement to handle criminal activities.

Working with your local business community or starting a crime prevention group in your neighborhood can be very effective.  While out in public areas like parks, keep a watchful eye of young children and perhaps travel in groups rather than alone.  Most criminal elements will target people who appear to be alone or confused of their location.  With Ellis Square just opening, there will be a lot of visitors local and out-of-towners who will have questions. Saber Security officers are on board to help answer questions, but most importantly, provide a secure presence and deterrence for possible violent acts.

Conclusively, crime prevention is the goal.  Be aware of your surroundings, travel in groups, let your family and friends know where you are and know where local law enforcement or security officers are stationed for more secure environment.  Having fun should not be at the cost of your life!

Stay Safe!
